Got the call from Rob that he was up for a sesion at St Fergus, so decided
to meet up there around 9am. The wind was cross off from the right and the
waves were really clean 3 footers, with lulls between sets. It was mind
numbingly cold though. Anyway, rigged the 6.3 and big board and went out.
Had a great hour or so, with some decent blasting beyond the break and some
nice waverides on the way back in. We probably should have gone a little
earlier as the tide was getting a bit high and the waves were starting to
dump a bit, but also the wind had swung round pretty much offshore and it
was overpowered further out, and we didn't want to risk kit failure in
those conditions. Decided to call it a day here and head for Newburgh.
